Jr. Max* Age: 13-16 320 lbs. minimum
Mandatory use of a junior cylinder without exhaust valve. No Jr. Class competitor may attain the actual age of 17 years of age before/on December 31, 2007. SFI approved Chest Protectors recommended.
Sr. Max Age: 16 & up 365 lbs. minimum
Master Age: 16 & up 405 lbs. minimum
Competitors must be 32 years of age before/on December 31, 2007 or 16 years of age before/on December 31st, 2007 and have a minimum driver weight of 190 pounds including all race apparel except helmet. To qualify for the World Finals Master driver must be a minimum of 32 years of age before/on December 31st, 2007.
DD-2 Max Age: 16 & up 385 lbs. minimum
Waivers to allow a competitor to move up in class will only be granted with proof of need and driver ability to compete at the higher level. Drivers granted waivers to move up will not be allowed to compete in the higher class at CCRKC national level events. Once a competitor moves up in a class he/she will no longer be eligible to compete in the lower class at any official RMax event.
It is required that all competitors participating in an Official CCRKC Local Series event be a current member of CCRKC. Competitors must apply for and have a 2007 CCRKC Membership before qualifying for the Grand National, membership is required. It is the responsibility of the driver and Series Director to ensure all competitors hold a valid Membership. Membership provides constant communication between members and Rotax Officials.
All competitors under the age of 18 must submit a copy of Birth Certificate or Passport wtih membership application. All ages will be verified by public records and any discrepancies will be corrected before membership is granted.
2007 Age Requirements for USRMC Classes
Mini Max: Participant must be 8 years of age to compete in an Official RMax event. To compete at the Grand National competitor must be 9 years of age before August 1, 2007.
Jr. Max: Participant must be 13 years of age before/on October 31, 2007. Participant cannot turn 17 years of age in 2007.
Sr. Max/DD2Max: Participant must be 16 years of age before/on December 31, 2007.
*Jr. Max class age represents an overlap of eligible participation. Participants between the age of 15 and 16 have a choice of competing in Jr. Max or Sr. Max classes, but once participation in the Sr. Max class is established competitor will no longer be eligible to compete in the Jr. Max class.
License Requirements
RMax Challenge Members holding, or have ever held, an International A of B grade license must not have participated or registered at any international CIK-FIA championship, or cup or trophy in 2005 or 2006 and must be a permanent resident of the country he is racing the CCRKC. CCRKC Members holding or have ever held an International A or B grade kart license before 2004 may apply to Rotax for a waiver. This application must be in writing stating relevant information including results and dates of CIK events participated in during the last 10 years. The application must be stamped by the ASN and the Distributor who will forward this to Rotax. Rotax's decision in such cases will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Only citizens and legal residents of the United States are eligible to compete in Official CCRKC Series in the United States.
Additional 2007 requirements
Kart Numbering: For any event the first competitor to enter has the choice of numbers (except #1, #2 and #3 which are reserved for National podium winners from 2005). 'Local Series' may set up a system for securing numbers by competitors for their respective series. Approved numbers are 2 or 3 digits, letters are not permitted. USRMC reserves the right to assign numbers to competitors that do not provide acceptable numbers for their entry thru the normal registration process. It is not the responsibility of event organizers to supply the required numbers for any entry.
Transponders: Each competitor is required to bring a transponder to each event. Transponder presentation will be considered part of scrutineering. Transponder rented to racers will not be the responsibility of event organizers or the host track/club. It is the responsibility of the racer and his crew to insure the competitor's transponder is charged and on the kart each time it enters the track during any official portion of the event.
Spec Gear Mini Max Class: At events under the control of local or regional series directors, local officials will have the option of choosing a spec gear for their respective tracks. The recognized spec gear nationally is 13x82 with a local option of 12x76 (new for 2007). The official National Spec Gear will remain 13x82 and this is the gear that will be assigned for the 2007 CCRKC Grand National.
2007 CCRKC Grand National
Each official CCRKC Local Series will receive an allocation of spots to award to the 2007 CCRKC Grand National. It is the responsiblity of the Local Series to determine and post a procedure for awarding allocated spots to the Grand National. Allocated spots not awarded by a Local Series will be returned to the National Office to be distributed if space allows. Allocation for Grand National spots cannot be transferred between series.
